Renewals and outgoing transfers

Review renewal settings, pause automatic renewal, and prepare an outgoing domain transfer.

Review renewal settings

Open Admin Portal → Domains, select the domain, and review its expiration date and renewal state in Overview. Read the Renewal safety panel before changing the renewal setting.

Pausing automatic renewal does not transfer the domain or immediately terminate its registration. It means you must renew manually before expiration or resume automatic renewal to keep it. Review the resulting state after confirming the action.

Follow any payment action shown for the domain. If its status is pending or requested, read the status notice and complete the indicated steps before assuming renewal or registration is finished.

Prepare an outgoing transfer

Find Transfer readiness in Overview. Check that the domain is eligible to transfer and that you can receive email at its registrant contact address.

Use Unlock domain when you are ready to transfer. The resulting authorization code is used at the destination registrar. Treat it as a credential and give it only to the registrar handling your transfer.

If the domain is already unlocked and you need a new code, use the authorization-code refresh action. Complete the transfer at the receiving registrar and follow its confirmation process. Unlocking alone does not move the domain.

Preserve services during a transfer

Check whether the receiving registrar will retain the current nameservers. A registrar transfer and a DNS-provider change are separate operations; changing both can affect website and mail service.

Keep the required DNS zone available and monitor the transfer’s status. After completion, review the domain’s nameservers and renewal settings at the destination.
